🌩️ Be Negative πŸŒ©οΈ

I love positivity. I love being optimistic, searching for the uplifting, and re-reading all those Bible verses that speak about all things good πŸ’•

But trying to force positivity? Well, that’s just not healthy.

And I feel like it isn’t healthy because it isn’t realistic. We are humans, living in a messy world, and things are sometimes bound to go wrong.

No matter how much faith we have, we will go through hard times sometimes.

It is healthy to feel negative sometimes.

Now, I don’t mean it’s healthy to damage someone else, to take your hurt out on someone (including yourself), or to walk around constantly complaining and moping.

What I mean is… feel your feelings. When you don’t feel great, accept that you’re not a ray of sunshine that day.

Then find something wonderful to do with your negativity.

That sounds like a contradiction, but some of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard have come from grief, pain, breakups, anger, and sadness. And those songs hit so deep…

A beautiful song about her divorce. “Love Used to Be” by Jewel

There’s no need to lie about our mood if we’re not feeling great. Pray. Ask the Lord to grant you the Grace to feel your feelings, to remain a good Christian, and to find a healthy outlet for your pain.

Hugs and God bless,

Yari 🌩️
