He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
Isaiah 40:29 NLT
I have been on this wonderful journey of following Christ for a little over a year now. As I read more of God’s Word and learn more and more, I am fascinated by all the wonderful advice provided for us in the Bible!
Today, I wanted to share with you something interesting I noticed. I have realized that there are mindsets we can adopt that will bring us joy and lift us up.
Here are three of the most powerful mindsets I’ve encountered on my way! 💮
3 Powerful Mindsets
for Christian Women
Mindset #1: You get your love from God, not just people
This mindset lets your love tank be full to the brim with God’s love! No longer will you chase after people for love. No longer will you worry about how much someone loves you. You instead bask in the eternal love and mercy of God!
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?
Or am I trying to please man?
If I were still trying to please man, I would not
be a servant of Christ.
Galatians 1:10 ESV
Getting your love from God is not to say that you can’t receive love from others, but rather, it shifts your perspective, so that you don’t lean so heavily on a person’s love. People are flawed, feelings are fickle, and there is no perfect love here on earth.
A very powerful Christian mindset that keeps you feeling loved is getting your love from God ~ not demanding it from other people. You get your love from God and you give love, and you realize that you cannot control how others feel about you. And that is healthy, because our #1 aim as women is to please God, not man.
Mindset #2: You glorify God, even when it’s not popular
Women, more so than men, seem to be the target demographic for “popular things that aren’t any good for you.” It’s popular to show more skin, even though we don’t gain anything from it. It’s popular to be promiscuous, even though it can be dangerous. It’s popular to support late-term abortions, or to become lazy and withdrawn in the name of “self-care.”
For they loved the glory that comes from man
more than the glory that comes from God.
John 12:43 ESV
If you love the glory of men, or bask in the acceptance of the world, you will find yourself chasing trends ~ often harmful trends. People want what they want ~ whether it’s to sell you something or to get something out of you.
But God wants nothing but the best for you, and His values are constant. They don’t shift with popularity and trends. His teachings are firm. A powerful Christian mindset is to always do what is right in the eyes of the Lord, and forget if it’s popular or not! As Peter and the apostles answered in Acts 5:29, We must obey God rather than men.
Mindset #3: You pray before making decisions
We can do things on our own, or we can do things with the help of God. Praying before making decisions will leave you with a feeling of peace, a feeling of knowing that you didn’t just include God in your life, but you invited Him in to guide you and manifest His will.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
Many times, when we must make an important decision, we feel that unbalanced, teetering anxiety that comes from not knowing what the outcome will be. But here, the Bible says “Do not be anxious.”
Therefore, a powerful Christian mindset is to always pray, always reach out to God before making a decision. Then, without that anxiety and with the Lord’s help, we can move forward, knowing that Jesus Christ will “guard your hearts and your minds.”
I’ve not been a Christian for long, but already I have applied these 3 powerful mindsets, and my life has done a 180-degree-turn for the better!
I invite you to test-drive these 3 powerful mindsets, and reap all the rewards that come from full-heartedly following Christ!
Take care and God bless,

who could use a boost in mindset!
