πŸ“– The Bible

πŸ™ But Even if He Does Not πŸ™

Good morning! β˜•
I was reading through Daniel
this morning, and I came
across this:

The setting: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused King Nebuchadnezzar’s decree that everyone had to kneel before his statue of gold and worship it every time certain music played.

King Nebuchadnezzar threatens to throw them in a furnace, and…

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him,
β€œKing Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need
to defend ourselves before you in this matter.

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace,
the God we serve is able to deliver us from it,
and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.

But even if he does not,
we want you to know, Your Majesty,
that we will not serve your gods
or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Daniel 3:16-18 NIV [emphasis mine]

He is able… but even if he does not.

God is able to give me security, but if He does not, will I still love and serve Him?

God is able to give me healing, but if He does not, will I still love and serve Him?

God is able to make my life easy, but if He does not, will I still love and serve Him?

I’ve been doing very well lately. Have you ever felt that way before? Like your life is going just right? But I do wonder… what about when trouble comes my way? I like to think that I’ll be able to say “He is able… but even if He does not, I will still praise Him.”

If difficulties in life ever test my faith, I’ll look back at these three courageous men, who knew that God was able to save them… but even if He did not, their faith wasn’t going to change.

Because God is good, and God has a plan, and we can trust God πŸ™‚

I hope you gain inspiration from these verses and I encourage you to read your Bible today!

Thanks for reading ~ Take care and God bless,

Yari 🌸
